He made his first short film in 2000: Make-Up, the six minutes long film was only shot in one day. Screened in 2001 at the Filmfestival Max-Ophüls-Preis as well at the Fantasporto Filmfestival in Porto, where it was shown as the only German contribution in the international short film-competition. The same year Make-Up was decorated as valuable.
2002 the second short film was made - 50₤ (9 min.) - the comedic film adaptation of a newspaper article was sold in 2007 to X-Film distribution.
The 3. short film followed in 2003 – Alone in the woods (7 min.) – the same year db-production was founded.
2004 the short film – Stella (10 min.) – and the first feature film: “My quite ordinary life” (74 min.) were produced. “My quite ordinary life” was shown at the Filmfestival Max-Ophüls-Preis 2005 and a summer release under self-distribution with 2 copies in German cinemas took place.
2005 the second feature film was realized – Leonys Aufsturz (100 min.) – post-production took 2 ½ years, because the movie was shot on a HD-Camera-Prototype which needed a specific self created Software to work the material.
2009 the third feature film is going to be made. “-/+” is the title of the movie which is about HIV, possible infection as well as different ways of coping with the situation of being HIV positive.
The db-production is interested in supporting independent productions. Besides own productions the support of all kinds of new productions are a main interest as well as music-videos, image films and commercials: 2004 db-production produced the first album „Relics from the Inside“ of the Rock-Band „No Fate“. 2005 the music-video production „Again“ of the Band „Ear-Extension“ followed. 2006 the db-production produced the song „Own World“ of the Band „One Side Smile“
